Head Coach Marine Cano brings home championship trophy in first tournament with his new IPSC G99 team. IPSC started the tournament by defeating Long Beach 2-0, then ran into a tough Las Vegas Neon team that ended in a wild 3-3 tie game. On the second day of competition IPSC beat a very good OC Premier team 3-1 in the semifinal game. Cano’s team went on to the Championship game to again face the tough Las Vegas Neon team for the second time in two days. IPSC was up for the challenge and beat the Las Vegas Neon team for the Championship 2-1 after going to penalty kicks.
Coach Cano was extremely pleased to see his players perform so well and play all weekend with a tremendous amount of passion and character. Scoring 9 goals in 4 games against high level clubs was quite an accomplishment for this young group. I want to thank my managers Paul, Heidi, and Andrea for forming this great group of kids, and it is an honor for Rosie and I to be there Coaches.
